Tuesday 26 August 2025
After breakfast this morning we will be joined by a guide and we will make our way to St Andrew’s where you will do an orientation tour on the coach before having time to explore. St. Andrew’s is a mecca for golfers. You will visit the famous Royal and Ancient Clubhouse and the Old Course and enjoy browsing the golf speciality shops or the streets of this medieval town. This is also home to Scotland’s oldest University. We will depart St. Andrews and time permitting, we will do a mini tour of Dundee on the coach en-route to Glamis Castle (booked for 13.30hrs). Glamis is the legendary setting of Macbeth and childhood home of the late Queen Mother. This is a majestic building filled with contrasting priceless artifacts and homely furnishings. You will have a guided tour after which you will have some free time to explore the grounds and perhaps have some refreshments before we board the coach and return to the hotel in the evening for dinner. (D,B&B)

Wednesday 27 August 2025
Today, after breakfast, we will again be joined by a guide for the day. We will depart the hotel and make our way to Tarbet on the shores of Loch Lomond where you will board a boat for a one-hour circular cruise to discover the northern end of the fjord-like Loch and sail over the deepest part in the shadow of Ben Lomond. You will enjoy, if you wish, a whiskey coffee while you admire the views! After the cruise we will stop off in the village of Luss, a picturesque conservation village sitting on the western shore of Loch Lomond. Occupation of this area dates back to medieval times, but much of the village as seen today was created in the 18th and 19th centuries to house workers from the nearby slate quarries. No visit to Luss is complete without taking in the view from the end of the pier with Ben Lomond standing proudly over Loch Lomond. Here you will be able to have a browse and enjoy some lunch. On the way back to the hotel we will take a scenic drive through the Trossachs via Aberfoyle. Time permitting, we will have a stop at the Woollen Mill at Kilmahog, where they keep some Highland cattle in the adjacent field which allows visitors to take photos. We will return to the hotel for dinner. (D,B&B)

Thursday 28 August 2025
After breakfast today we will board the coach and make our way to Edinburgh where we will be joined by a guide to have a sightseeing tour of the City on the coach. See the elegant mansions of the Georgian 200-year-old “New Town” and the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile, the oldest part of the City. There will be a visit to Edinburgh Castle after which you will have some free time to enjoy the City. You can wander down Princes Street, the main shopping thoroughfare that separates the 2 sides of the City, enjoy the historic buildings and the breathtaking views of Edinburgh. We will return to the hotel for dinner. (D, B&B)

Friday 29 August 2025
Today, after breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and start the journey back to Cairnryan, with comfort stop en-route, to catch the afternoon ferry back to Belfast, arriving at approximately 17.45hrs after which you will be returned to your original pick-up points.
